New services on the agenda for Staffordshire pubs

A scheme to help rural pubs in Staffordshire to branch out into new local services is to be launched in partnership with Staffordshire County Council on Tuesday 10th October 2017.

Pub is The Hub and Staffordshire County Council have arranged a presentation about their Local Community Services Champions scheme followed by a buffet lunch at Uttoxeter Racecourse in Uttoxeter (ST14 8BD) from 11am to 1pm.

The session is aimed primarily at good licensees, pub owners, local authority representatives, local communities and suppliers, to encourage and inspire them to collaborate and consider diversifying their pub business for the help and benefit of their local communities and their needs.

Over the years we have helped hundreds of schemes from rural pubs throughout England and Wales (and a few in Scotland) to provide local shops, community allotments, Post Offices, school dinners, delicatessens, cash machines, tourist information points, keep fit clubs for the elderly, community playgrounds, libraries and many more.

Do you run or know of a pub that may benefit from such a scheme in Staffordshire and are you interested in helping?

John Longden, Chief Executive of Pub is The Hub said: “We would be delighted if you were able to show your support by joining us to hear about identified priority areas, ideas, potential funding opportunities and business development for pubs in Staffordshire and then to meet informally over lunch with advisors and local supporters of Pub is The Hub.”

The launch of the scheme in Staffordshire is being backed by the Big Lottery Fund who have had an association with Pub is The Hub since 2011.

Anyone who would like to attend can contact Pub is The Hub on 01423 546165.
