What We Do

The pub should be the centre or hub of community life and can also provide essential services beyond the usual drinks, food or entertainment. We are a not for profit organisation of specialist advisors for communities and licensees who are thinking of broadening their range of services.

We encourage publicans, pub owners, communities, breweries and the private sector to work together to match community priority needs with additional services which can be provided by the local pub and a good licensee.

    Grow Your Pub's Local Services

We are a not for profit organisation of specialist advisors for communities and licensees who are thinking of broadening their range of services. Many licensees who do so find that they can secure a longer-term viability for their business as well as embedding themselves into the heart of their communities.

    Community Ownership

The local village pub is an integral part of community life but many pubs and rural services have struggled to operate as they used to, and in some cases have faced closure. We can help local communities early in the decision-making process, giving them the advice they need to take ownership of their local pub.

    Financial Support

We rely on donations and grants to support our largely voluntary organisation. Let us talk to you about how you can contribute to our work in rural services. We may be able to assist some projects through our own Community Services Fund, which is to support projects as a fund of last resort, where no local funding for services currently exists.

    Support In Kind

If you can supply goods or services to support our work; whether in pubs or financially in support of our advisors, we would love to hear from you.

    Advisory Support

We are always interested to hear from people who have had experience in the pub, hospitality and property sectors and are keen to ‘give something back’ to an industry they love, for personal satisfaction rather than financial reward.
