Celebrate your pub’s local area with a Community Nature Trail

Posted on:

Publicans are being encouraged to help create Community Nature Trails in their local areas this summer and beyond.

A Community Nature Trail is a local map of public sights, activities, events, and projects that help people connect with nature and each other.

If your pub has a team and/or customer base that is passionate about nature and getting outdoors then this initiative is a great way to help connect people with nature and each other.

This initiative from Eden Project Communities, the RSPB, More Human and members of the Community Action Collective, it’s about supporting peoples’ physical and mental health, whilst aiming to bring people from different walks of life together.

Whether it’s permanent, for a season, or just for a weekend, a Community Nature Trail is a great way to showcase local social, cultural, and recreational activities involving nature, to help build appreciation for the things people love about where you live, and get new people involved in your project too.

Community event experts More Human have made it really easy to build, promote, and share your Nature Trail. In a few simple steps you can create your own webpage, add your local sites and activities and generate customised marketing materials.

Pubs with community allotments or gardens or who promote walks, which take in nature, could look to include their venues on the map too.
