Pub is The Hub is backing the search for Broadland Pub of the Year and South Norfolk Pub of the Year.

As part of its close association with the region and the Broadland and South Norfolk Business Awards Terry Stork, Pub is The Hub’s regional advisor, will take part in choosing the winner of the pub competition.

The category, sponsored by Pub is The Hub, is open for public nomination only, meaning residents need to vote for their favourite pub.

This award will recognise an exceptional pub in both the Broadland and South Norfolk area. Judges are looking to recognise a business that supports its local community and is accessible to all. It also wants the pub to have a varied product offer, which can include local produce and beer, excellent customer service and a range of facilities.

Pub is The Hub regional advisor Terry Stork said: “This award will recognise a Broadland and South Norfolk pub that is truly at the heart of its community. It is a privilege to support this award and I look forward to being involved in the judging.

“A huge thanks to Broadland and South Norfolk for running these important awards that recognise best practice and pubs and publicans that go above and beyond.”

The pub of the year is just one of the awards to recognise and celebrate the array of successful businesses in both districts. Businesses will be invited to nominate themselves for an award in any of the 11 categories and residents can support their favourite shop or pub.

Broadland District Council’s portfolio holder for Economic Development, Councillor Jo Copplestone, said: “If you’re a business owner, put your company forward for the recognition both you and your staff deserve and if you’re a customer make sure you nominate your favourite business as our Retailer or Pub of the Year.”

With the support of the headline sponsor, Big Sky Living, the awards will showcase the best of Broadland and South Norfolk’s talent at an awards ceremony on 7 March 2023 at Norwich City Football Club. Nominations close on 12 December and winners will be announced at the ceremony on 7 March next year.

Pub owners can request a marketing pack at awards@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk to encourage their customers to vote.
