CAMRA members support Pub is The Hub

In recognition of the wonderful licensees and pubs that we work with, the UK’s largest consumer group, CAMRA (the campaign for real ale), has announced that the proceeds of their annual raffle are to be given to Pub is The Hub this year.

The money raised will provide additional funding to launch new projects and the opportunity to expand schemes within new areas. CAMRA and its 140,000 members will be supporting diversification of rural pubs whilst encouraging the UK’s 15 million regular pub goers to be aware of the threats that rural pubs face.

During July every CAMRA member will receive a book of tickets worth £20 as well as opportunities to purchase more through their monthly newspaper, What’s Brewing. The prize for the winning ticket will be £3,000 cash with £1,000 and £500 for second and third prizes respectively.

Lauren Anderson, the Marketing Officer for CAMRA commented: “Pub is The Hub needs to ensure that they have the funding available to continue supporting vital local services, pubs and communities. By purchasing raffle tickets, CAMRA members are helping Pub is The Hub to rise to the challenges that rural pubs are facing. We need our members’ support to secure a future for Britain’s pubs.”

Anyone wishing to purchase raffle tickets should call CAMRA on 01727 867201. The raffle will close on Friday 19th October 2012 so all tickets must be returned before this date to ensure entry in to the prize draw.
