THE RURAL VILLAGE OF LONG ITCHINGTON STILL BOASTS SIX PUBS
May Bank Holiday brings a unique event. The Warwickshire village of Long Itchington, situated on the A423 Between Southam and Coventry and only six miles from Leamington Spa has a secret - it has 6 (six) pubs. These six pubs are at the heart of a unique event - a village wide beer festival.
The event takes place from Friday 2nd May and goes throughout the holiday weekend until the evening of Monday 5th. The pubs will be opening at noon each day and each will feature up to fifteen real ales over the 4 days(at least 60 in all) No 2 pubs will be serving the same beer. Featured beers will include Exe Valley, Mighty Oak, Hoskins, Enville, Holdens, Hopback, Roosters, Slaters, Sarah Hughes and Weatheroak. Each day a festival menu and tasting notes will be provided.
There are no entrance charges - simply stroll through this picturesque Warwickshire village, tasting at your own pace - you may even want to enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride from pub to pub.
Festival glassware and tee shirts will be on sale and entertainment is planned for each day from jazz and folk music to moris dancing and magicians. The Long Itchington Car Boot will open the season with a special 2 day sale on Sunday 4th and Monday 5th.Anybody wishing to book a pitch should ring Pete or Cheryl on 07989 313985
