The Publican - Pub is the Hub launch in Wales

The group hold launch event at Prince of Wales' estate.

Pub is the Hub held a launch event in Prince Charles’ estate Llwynywermod in the Breacon Beacons to celebrate its expansion into Wales.

Licensees and community groups from across Wales attended the event, as well as Welsh Assembly government representatives. The expansion was due to a grant from the Prince Charles’ Countryside Fund.

John Longden, chief executive of Pub is The Hub, said: “We are delighted to have the backing of the Prince’s Countryside Fund. We will be working with volunteers and partners in Wales to help retain and improve vital local services via the pub as the heart and soul of the community.” The Prince of Wales helped set up Pub is the Hub in 2001.
